At least nine shops were gutted in a massive fire in Loran area of Mandi tehsil in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday, police said. Station House Officer (SHO) Loran Ved Prakash said that the fire broke out at 4am at Bus Adda area.

“The fire appeared in a shop and soon it engulfed the adjacent shops,” he said, adding that nine shops were turned to ashes in the incident.

Prakash said that timely efforts by the police, firemen and the locals prevented the fire from consuming more shops.

 JAMMU: Gharota Police arrested three persons and recovered 129 bottles of illicit liquor.

As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Police Station Gharota led by SHO Inspector Khyati Maan Khajuria arrested three persons from different locations with 129 bottles of illicit liquor.

The arrested persons were identified as Harendra Kumar, son of Ram Naresh of Uttar Pradesh, at present Deharan Tehsil Bhalwal, Rakesh Kumar, son of Shakeena Ram of Gurah Pattan and Parveen Singh, son of Devi Singh of Thathi.

Cases under FIR Numbers 54/2021, 55/2021 and 56/2021 under section 48 (a) Excise Act have been registered at Police Station Gharota and investigation started.

The arrests and recoveries were made under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Varun Jandial. घरोटा पुलिस ने तीन लोगों को गिरफ्तार कर 129 बोतल अवैध शराब बरामद की है।

 गिरफ्तार लोगों की पहचान उत्तर प्रदेश के राम नरेश पुत्र हरेंद्र कुमार, वर्तमान देहरान तहसील भलवाल, राकेश कुमार पुत्र शकीना राम गुरह पट्टन और परवीन सिंह पुत्र देवी सिंह थठी के रूप में हुई है.

 थाना घरोटा में आबकारी अधिनियम की धारा 48(ए) के तहत प्राथमिकी संख्या 54/2021, 55/2021 एवं 56/2021 के तहत प्रकरण दर्ज कर जांच शुरू कर दी गयी है.

 एसडीपीओ अखनूर वरुण जंदियाल की देखरेख में गिरफ्तारियां और बरामदगी की गई।

 बनिहाल रेलवे टनल के कुछ हिस्से के निर्माण में धोखाधड़ी का मामला सामने आया है। क्राइम ब्रांच ने बेग निर्माण कंपनी लिमिटेड के एमडी समेत चार लोगों पर एफआईआर दर्ज की है। आरोप है कि कंपनी ने धोखे और जालसाजी से ठेका लिया। जिससे ठेका लिया, उसे 9 करोड़ रुपये का चूना लगाया। मामले में आगे की जांच जारी है। यह ठेका इरकॉन कंपनी से लिया गया। हाल ही में रेलवे की टनल बनकर तैयार हुई है।

आरोपियों में जम्मू के बठिंडी में रहने वाले बेग निर्माण कंपनी के एमडी इमरान बेग, कंपनी के अकाउंट मैनेजर मोहित सिंह निवासी मथुरा, कंपनी के सीए तरुण खन्ना निवासी त्रिकुटा नगर, कंपनी के सीए ऑडिटर राहुल शर्मा निवासी पंडारा न्यू दिल्ली शामिल हैं। इन लोगों ने फर्जी बैलेंस शीट तैयार की। 2013 से 2015 तक की तीन सालों की बैलेंस शीट तैयार करके इरकॉन कंपनी को दी, ताकि ठेके का टेंडर लेने की प्रक्रिया में हिस्सा ले सकें । यह ठेका टनल नंबर टी 75 आर और टी-77 डी था। यह लोग टी-77डी नंबर का ठेका लेने में कामयाब भी हो गए।

साझेदार कंपनी को दिया धोखा

अमृतांशु इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर एवं मैनेजमेंट कंपनी के एमडी ललित अग्रवाल की अवैध रूप से 9 करोड़ रुपये की मशीनरी भी धोखे से रख ली, क्योंकि दोनों कंपनियों ने मिलकर काम करना था, लेकिन आरोपियों ने गलत तरीके से काम किया और इससे ललित अग्रवाल को करोड़ों रुपये का चूना लगा। ललित ने इसकी शिकायत क्राइम ब्रांच के पास की। शिकायत में बताया कि बेग कंपनी के एमडी इमरान बेग और अन्य ने उसे मिलकर चूना लगाया है।

बताया कि 2013 में जब ठेका लिया गया था। तब बेग कंपनी के साथ मिलकर काम करने की बात हुई थी। इसमें बराबर की हिस्सेदारी थी, लेकिन उक्त कंपनी ने उनके हिस्से का शेयर भी हड़प लिया। इससे उनको 9 करोड़ रुपये का चूना लगा। क्राइम ब्रांच ने केस दर्ज कर मामले में आगे की जांच शुरू कर दी है।
